libopenal1 software package provides Software implementation of the OpenAL API (shared library), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libopenal1
libopenal1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libopenal1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libopenal1 *
You will get with libopenal1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
